Do you need a license for this work?
The work on this page is handyman-level work that Florida and Lee County allow without a contractor license. Anything that needs a licensed trade, like electrical, plumbing, A/C, garage doors or low-voltage wiring, we refer to a licensed contractor and can coordinate for you.
Can you install a Ring or other video doorbell?
Yes, if it is a battery-powered model. Replacing a hardwired doorbell connects to the home's low-voltage wiring, which is licensed work, so for those we bring in a licensed contractor.
How does buying the products work?
You buy the product yourself, from our list or anywhere you like, and have it shipped to the Florida home. We receive the package, install it, and send you a photo report when it is done. Our links are affiliate links, but you are never required to use them.
Do I need to be in Florida?
No. Most of this work is done while owners are away. We let ourselves in, do the job, lock up and send photos.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the job. We quote every job before we start, so there are no surprises. Ask about combining the work with a scheduled home watch visit.
Do I have to be a home watch client?
No. Handyman work is available to any homeowner in our service area, whether or not you have a home watch plan.
